Organizations to Support:

SisterSong

SisterSong is the largest national multi-ethnic Reproductive Justice collective. Membership includes and represents Indigenous, African American, Arab and Middle Eastern, Asian and Pacific Islander, and Latina women and LGBTQ people. Membership also includes allies who support women’s human right to lead fully self-determined lives. SisterSong is dedicated to growing and supporting the RJ movement, and to uplifting the voices and building the capacity of movement sisters to win access to abortion and all other reproductive rights.

 

Forward Together

Forward Together unites communities to win rights, recognition, and resources for all families. The organization transforms culture and policy to work for all of us nationwide, continually fighting to dismantle the ways our society marginalizes us based on race, sexuality, and gender. Forward Together builds courage and fosters connection among a multi-racial community of changemakers to secure the rights, recognition and resources all families need to thrive..

 

Black Mamas Matter Alliance

Black Mamas Matter Alliance is a Black women-led cross-sectoral alliance which envisions a world where Black mamas have the rights, respect, and resources to thrive before, during, and after pregnancy. BMMA centers Black mamas to advocate, drive research, build power, and shift culture for Black maternal health, rights, and justice.

BMMA’s goals are to 1) introduce and advance policy grounded in the human rights framework that addresses Black maternal health inequity and improves Black maternal health outcomes, 2) cultivate research methods to inform the policy agenda to improve Black maternal health, 3) advance holistic and comprehensive approaches to Black mamas’ care, and 4) shift culture so that the conversation on Black maternal health is reframed and the voices of Black mamas are amplified.

Reproaction

Reproaction's vision is to uphold abortion rights and advance reproductive justice as a matter of human dignity, and their mission is to increase access to abortion and advance reproductive justice. Reproaction introduces a new culture of accountability, and empower and inspire the reproductive rights movement and the broader progressive community to openly and enthusiastically stand up for abortion rights.

Reproaction has campaigns nationally, as well as in DC, VA, MO, and WI.

 

National Resource Center on Domestic Violence

NRCDV works to strengthen the capacity of programs responding to domestic violence victims and their families by promoting effective public policy, institutional response and research, and engagement in prevention. NRCDV collaborates with many other organizations and partners who bring various forms of expertise, backgrounds, and perspectives, to improve community response to domestic violence and, ultimately, prevent its occurrence.


Since 2016, NRCDV has engaged in a Racial Justice Initiative designed to transform policies, procedures, practices and organizational culture to be racially equitable and inclusive.

 

Black Women’s Health Initiative

The Black Women’s Health Initiative believes that all Black women and girls should enjoy optimal health and well-being in a socially just society. The mission of the Initiative is to lead the effort in solving the most pressing health issues that affect Black women and girls in the US. Through investments in evidence-based strategies, the Black Women’s Health Initiative delivers bold new programs and advocates health-promoting policies.

If/When/How

If/When/How transforms the law and policy landscape through advocacy, support, and organizing so all people have the power to determine if, when, and how to define, create, and sustain families with dignity and to actualize sexual and reproductive wellbeing on their own terms.

If/When/How also offers a reproductive justice fellowship for lawyers devoted to reproductive justice in policy work.

 

National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice

National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice (the Latina Institute) builds Latina/x power to fight for the fundamental human right to reproductive health, dignity, and justice. The Latina Institute centers Latina/x voices, mobilizes our communities, transforms the cultural narrative, and drives policy change. They amplify the grassroots power and thought leadership of Latinas/xs across the country to fuel a larger reproductive justice movement, specifically by fighting for equal access to reproductive health for Latina/x communities.

The Latina Institute is a national organization headquartered in New York City and with offices in Washington, D.C., Florida, New York, Texas, and Virginia.  

 

Center for Reproductive Rights

The Center for Reproductive Rights is the only global legal advocacy organization dedicated to advancing reproductive rights. The Center addresses issues that affect a woman’s ability to direct her own life, including abortion, contraception, and maternal health. The Center works with local partners to strengthen reproductive health laws and policies in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the United States.
